Things to know
General
- Ice skating is for skaters of all skill levels ages 3 and up!
- Skate Rental counter opens 30 minutes prior to each public skate session.
- Both regular (figure) and hockey skates are available to rent during our public skating sessions. The smallest skate size we carry is toddler size 8, and the largest is men’s size 15.
Food
- Food and drinks are available for purchase during our public skating sessions at our concession stand, Bear Bites.
- Outside food is only permitted in the building with a paid room rental. All non-approved cakes and/or cupcakes will not be permitted in the building. To schedule a party at the Ice Den please contact Tiffany Perez at tiffany.perez@orlandoiceden.com.
WHAT TO WEAR
- It’s cold in the rink! We recommend wearing long socks that come to cover your ankles, long pants, long sleeves and a light jacket or sweatshirt, gloves/mittens and helmets for beginners.

Common questions
Do you sell figure skating and hockey equipment?
Yes. The Ice Den Pro Shop carries a wide variety of hockey and figure skating merchandise. Our knowledgeable staff is able to give you the proper fit you will need to perform your best!
Can i have a party at the ice den?
Birthday parties may be held on any day of the week in conjunction with the public skating schedule. Parties include one to four hours in a private Ice Den party room, one to three hours of ice-skating, pizza, unlimited soft drinks, admission and skate rental, and set up and clean up. Is there a hockey program?
Yes. Programs range from Learn to Play Hockey classes, Youth and Adult leagues. Drop-In, clinics, Skate & Shoot, and camps are a large part of our program. Both adult and youth leagues are available.
Is there a figure skating program?
Yes. There is a figure skating program for all levels of skaters from the recreational figure skater to those in elite levels of competition. Learn to Skate group classes offer skaters a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Private figure skating lessons are also available with our exceptional Ice Den coaches.
Do you offer group rates?
Yes. Discounts are available for groups of ten or more. For group rates, call 407-916-2418. The Group Sales department is open Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. Reservations are required. All reservations must be placed 24 hours in advance and weekend reservations must be made by Friday at 2:00pm.
Do you have to be a member of Genesis Health Clubs to skate at the ice den?
No. Orlando Ice Den and all of our activities and programs, including daily public skating, are open to the public!
Do you have walkers for beginner skaters to use on the ice?
We do not have walkers or any devices for skaters to lean on/push around the ice, as they can be hazardous to other skaters, and to the skaters using them. There is a ledge that goes around the perimeter of each rink that skaters may hold on to.
